February Monthly Favourites ft. KATE, Bare Minerals and Kiko!

Once January is over, and February kicks in, it’s like the time goes even faster but really it’s just a shorter month! What’s the temperature and weather like, where you are? It’s still really cold here so I can’t see ‘Spring’ come any time soon but one can dream, right? Here is a round-up of all the products that I have been really enjoying in the last 28 days  or so! Enjo!y Featured in this post: KATE Designing Eyebrow N #EX4 Bare Minerals Matte SPF15 Foundation in ‘Fairly Light’ Kiko Skintone Corrector Primer * Soap and Glory Archery Brow Pencil in ‘Brownie Points’ Real Techniques Contour Brush (part of Core Collection Set) LUSH Honey Trap Lip Balm The Ordinary Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% * It looks discontinued?! A Two-Years-After Review on Real Techniques Brushes (Total of 12!)

I’ve officially surpassed the ‘newbie’ stage in makeup so you can say I feel a bit more entitled to talk about the ins and outs of a brush brand that is so widely known; that I have used from the beginning of my makeup journey just over two years ago. If like me, you started with Real Techniques brushes, then you’re in for a trip down memory lane! For the most part, they’re still going strong but which brushes do I really like and would recommend? And which are not so well-loved, falling a bit short? Note: I don’t own a huge array of brushes (across different brands) so I won’t be able to compare these to others. However, that could be for the better! I mainly own Real Techniques and EcoTools.  Featured in this post: Expert Face Brush Blush Brush Powder Brush Core Collection Starter Set The brushes are colour-coded which to my knowledge, is unique to the brand. Gold: Flawless base brushes (Foundation, Powder, Concealer) Pink: Finishing Brushes (Setting Powder, Blush/Bronzer, Highlight/Contour) Purple: Eye …

The Vintage Coffee Shop Of Your Dreams: Barker Tea House

It feels like years since I last updated my ‘Travel’ section but actually, it has been a good couple of months. (Still quite a long time I know.) I thought I’d change it up a bit, and let you into my new favourite place! If you follow me on Instagram, then you may know of my new obsession so I’m here to talk of it more in detail. You will also be pleased to know that this post won’t be a one-hit-wonder as next month I will be traveling to Rome for a few days! So expect more travel-related posts in the next month and a bit. I hope to cover Preparation for Traveling type of posts before I actually go traveling (thinking ahead guys…) so stay tuned for that too. 🙂 Featured in this post:  Barker Tea House located in the High Street Arcade in Cardiff (There is also another Barker’s in another arcade across town. Popular you see.) I love coffee. I love tea too but that’s not so much of a thing …

Follow-Up Review on The Ordinary Moisturisers

The hype is real. Part of my Instagram feed is filled with skincare-related posts (even those recommended to me) and I see so many of them talking about The Ordinary and/or showing The Ordinary within their skincare. (I don’t know why I act so surprised – it’s in my skincare routine too!) Just in case you need some more info to fill you in, I managed to find a post by Caroline Hirons that I had read a few months ago! If you missed my last two posts regarding the company and some of its products, you can catch up here and here. If you didn’t, thank you so much for having read it! As promised, here is the remaining chapter of that haul: The Ordinary moisturisers and how I got on with them. Featured in this post: The Azelaic Acid Suspension 10% Vitamin C Suspension 23% + HA Spheres 2% IF YOU ARE USING THESE PRODUCTS/INTERESTED, PLEASE READ THIS SPECIAL NOTE: The Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% is incompatible with both these products. It is recommended to …

The Lifestyle EDIT – Recent Lifestyle Favourites

Hi all! I hope all is well. For those who have been following me for a while, you may know about my monthly favourites which I have been doing for a good few months now. However, I typically limit this to only about 10 products (max) that can be applied to the beauty and fashion categories. There have of course been instances where I have had something wholly different to want to include but I felt that a) it wouldn’t fit right with the rest of the post; and b) it would honestly make the post too long. So here it is – a lifestyle favourites in its own glory to rave about books/articles, videos, films, other blogs etc. (You get the gist.) This post is dedicated to YOU – for being smart and beautiful, so let’s continue that journey!
