Review: L’Oréal Infallible 24hr Foundation

I’m so happy to be back at reviewing some products! I realise that they’re few and far between but I do love writing a good, detailed review. It’s just not often that I have enough to say about a given product and you should know that I want to give a quality review as much as I want to be interested in the product I’m reviewing whether for a good reason or a bad reason. Today, I’ll be reviewing the L’Oréal Infallible 24hr Foundation. I bought this foundation completely on a whim with no prior knowledge to it. I seldom watch beauty YouTube anymore so I have no idea, no recollection, of whether this foundation has been hyped about or not. I have also not read a review to do with this product so this may be the most unbiased review you’ll have seen me write. Let’s begin shall we? FYI – I have combination/oily skin with the tendency to suffer from dehydration. I purchased the foundation in shade 120 Vanilla. What is it? It’s …

My Current Hair Styling & Treatment Routine

We’re moving into a slightly different topic today which is something I never talk about: hair. The reason being is that I’m very low maintenance when it comes to my hair. Give me a hairdryer and I’m good to go. I don’t use heat spray nor do I straighten or curl my hair. (For the record, my hair is already very straight.) However, having gone for the chop just over 2 months ago, I have found the joy in styling my hair now and again. Here’s my (very) easy hair styling routine for those higher-than-low maintenance days where you fancy something a little bit extra! — If you follow me on Instagram, then you may recall me attending my best friend’s wedding as bridesmaid. In the lead up to that, I couldn’t cut my hair even though I really wanted to so my method in keeping my hair as healthy as possible was in using a hair mask. Normally, you would just use this once a week but for me, I upped this to twice …

Review: NYX HD Finishing Powder

It’s been over 6 months since my last review! This is actually one that I had written up a few months ago but for some reason, I never made it live. For those who are new to my reviews, they are a little few and far between as I tend not to follow trends or review products that are popular or hyped. In fact, I usually do the opposite! (I think it is much more authentic this way.) I am however looking to put out more reviews this year than I did in 2019. Right, let’s jump into the review for today shall we? What is it? It is described as a ‘lightweight translucent powder that helps soften the appearance of fine lines and pores’. How much does it cost? £9. Not super expensive but for a drugstore brand, it’s not exactly cheap either. I think drugstore products are getting more expensive overall though. Where from? NYX is readily available in Boots and Debenhams in the UK. I purchased mine from Boots. Who is it …

Products & Brands I Want to Try in 2020

I don’t think I have written this type of post before which is probably why there are still so many products and brands that I haven’t tried. (Baring in mind, a good half of them are also unavailable to me although Boots have recently expanded their range – more below.) The brand I tried out the most last year has to be Revolution – both their makeup and skincare. I am looking to write about their skincare line once I have gotten through the entire haul but for now, let’s tap into other new products and brands that I want to try out at some point this year! Fenty Beauty – the Gloss Bomb in particular I used to get a Christmas gift set for myself every year without fail. I didn’t bother with that in 2018 however in 2019, I saw that Fenty Beauty had the gloss trio which I so badly wanted to get. I did actually see it in-store one day in late-October/early-November and should have gotten the hint to get it …

Empties in Tens #3

I’ve been splitting my time living between two different places from weekdays to weekends so naturally, I have two collections of products per place as well as two different beauty routines. You can bet that collecting empties has been a little awkward and inconvenient but I’m making it work. This compilation is not even half of what I’ve accumulated so far! The plan is to ultimately write about it all before the end of the year so that I can successfully throw everything out and start 2020 on a clean slate. Let’s begin shall we? + Would repurchase– Will not bother again= Neutral/Indifferent + MAC Cleanse Off Oil– Sukin Cleansing Gel+ Witch Toning Lotion+ Poppy Austin Hyaluronic Acid= Clinique Vitamin C Capsule+ Clinique Moisture Surge+ Clinique Dramatically Different Gel+ (Jumbo size)+ Bioré UV Gel Sunscreen+ LUSH Sleepy= Wilkinson’s Sword Quattro Razor Blades+ Maybelline Age Rewind Concealer in Light+ Etude House Drawing Eyebrow Duo– Mizon Rice Real Cleansing Foam *Please note that some of the empties are not pictured as I have thrown them out prior …
