YesStyle Beauty Haul + Experience! | What Am I Trying Out Next?

To say that I’ve done a bit of damage this month is probably an understatement, but I know myself – I generally don’t shop skincare and beauty that often, and when I do – it is normally a real essential which is more than forgivable. The last few beauty items that I bought were a drugstore mascara and 2 sunscreens which is hardly wild and were purchases done perhaps close to two months now. Here’s the deal: I sometimes think you shouldn’t be so hard on yourself when spending. You deserve to treat yourself once in a while! Unless of course, you have too much of the same thing which might be a real problem. But in my case, I’ve been good. I’ve been using up products (See: The Beauty Clean-Up Series) and due to use up more from my current skincare routine…so in a way, I’m being organised for my next routine. (Is there ever a real justification on spending money other than wanting to spend and buy something pretty?) 😛 Let’s start shall we? (From …

Rome Diary Day 4 – Taking It Easy

We’ve finally got here! The last day of my Rome Diary! To catch up, see my previous posts in this series: Rome Diary Day 1 – But First, Food! + Fontana di Trevi  Rome Diary Day 2 pt. 1 – What the Romans Mades + Detail Envy Rome Diary Day 2 pt. 2 – Where The Romans Once Were Rome Diary Day 3 pt. 1 – Angels Watching Over The City Rome Diary Day 3 pt. 2 – Free ‘Roming’ Otherwise, let’s start! (and subsequently finish this chapter in my life because I know it’s overdue.) Enjoy! Taking It Easy As it was the last day of our trip, or technically speaking – the last half-day – we had very limited time left to explore so there was only one way to spend it: see title. We actually woke up a bit later that morning – I guess because we had spent the previous whole two days being total tourists so much so that there was less of a rush to do so on the …

Rome Diary Day 3 pt. 2 – Free ‘Roming’

This post is a continuation from: Rome Diary Day 3 pt. 1 – Angels Watching Over The City Please feel free to catch up with the previous days in this Travel/Photo Diary too: Rome Diary Day 1 – But First, Food! + Fontana di Trevi  Rome Diary Day 2 pt. 1 – What the Romans Mades + Detail Envy Rome Diary Day 2 pt. 2 – Where The Romans Once Were Otherwise, let’s continue Day 3 shall we? Back To The Other Side Of The Bridge Since we couldn’t go to explore Vatican City with more intricacy, we decided to head back to the other side of the bridge to explore the other areas as marked on our city map. I had remembered Piazza Navona being of mention on Trip Advisor so that’s where we decided to head to next. After crossing the bridge, we just kept walking straight on – the direction couldn’t have been more straightforward! 🔺 Piazza Navona Of course, these fountains and statues have nothing on Fontana di Trevi but it’s still worth …

April Monthly Favourites ft. L’Oreal, Bourjois + H&M!

I actually don’t know where April went because for starters, there definitely isn’t a whole lot to show for it on the blog! I apologise on my part, but no dwelling – that’s all in the past. What I did do however, was change up my routine a bit more, so I do have a couple of favourites to show. In the meantime, I’m also working to conclude my Rome Travel Series (see recent post here) and to officially accept some blogger awards (long overdue) so expect these posts in the coming weeks. Back to main topic though – favourites! What’s been taking my fancy as of late? L’Oreal Million Lashes Waterproof Mascara Bourjois Healthy Mix Serum Foundation (in 52 Vanilla) Ralph Lauren Big Pony 1 for Women Perfume (purchased as part of set) H&M Sportwear T-shirt in Black * Strong by Zanna Van Dijk Eat Smart by Niomi Smart * Not linked as I understand fashion pieces eventually expire on websites. But I’m sure the brand will display similar item(s). L’Oreal Million Lashes Waterproof Mascara: Truth be told, …

The Beauty Clean-Up #5 (empties)

We’re onto #5! Wow. That actually feels like some sort of achievement because right at the start of this journey, I just wanted to use up more of my beauty products, some of which weren’t being touched and by doing so, reduce wastage. Now that I’ve gotten to this number,  I’m using up products that I’m trying out but liking at the same time meaning that I’ve put more emphasis on how I shop and not just buying for the sake of buying. Completing an empties post is as decluttering for the mind as it is for the home (literally). So now, comes the time to empty my junk box again to welcome Spring and to give myself an excuse to buy new products! (There’s still so many brands and products I need to try out!) Let’s Start: + Would repurchase – Will not bother again = Neutral/Indifferent + SANA Soy Milk Moisture Cleansing Wash – Nivea Daily Essentials Crème Care Cleansing Cream Wash + Clean & Clear Exfoliating Daily Wash + LUSH Ultrabland + Boots Botanics Rosewater Toning Spritz + Earth Therapeutics Brightening Black Pearl …
