How I Edit My Photos

Living in the UK means that we don’t get a great deal of sunlight except in the summer but even that is difficult as our seasons have blurred drastically in the last couple of months. Today I’ll be showing you how I edit my photos – and yes, this includes those already featured on my blog! Whilst every photo has its own characteristics dependent on things like lighting and shutter speed, I generally use the same steps for every photo that I edit. There are however, some rules I abide by first before editing anything. My first rule of thumb is to make sure that the base of the photo is good enough to edit. This includes good lighting (or at the very least, average lighting), a considered composition and a decent quality all-around. If all these boxes are ticked, it will make the editing process a lot easier and more successful. To give you a bit of guidance, I never take photos in artificial (bedroom) lighting because I know from experience, editing will never …

#Selfcare Sunday Series | Getting Over my Anxiety for Driving

Disclaimer: This post purely writes of my own personal experience. It does not define anxiety and its entirety because everyone’s experience is just that: personal. Whilst I don’t think my content would be triggering for anyone, I still feel obliged to add a trigger warning in case you suffer (or have suffered) from a severe form of anxiety. Lastly, you all normally are anyway, but please be respectful in the comments box. Thanks! Note: This post is lengthy. If interested, I hope you have a hot beverage accompanying you! — If there is one thing that I have really learnt in the past year, it is mindset. This time last year, I was a bit of a wreck (for reasons that actually have nothing to do with the main topic of this post). This time round, I’m in a really positive place actually and it’s been a very productive January despite everyone seemingly using the term ‘Dry January’. Sometimes, it can take as much as waking up and feeling different about the world around you. …

#Selfcare Sunday Series | How to Make your New Years Resolutions/Goals Count This Year

Happy Sunday! I hope everyone has had a re-charged weekend! I have been sleeping terrible overall…I just can’t seem to get comfortable but most of all, I have been finding it hard to shut my mind down. Even though on the surface and in general, my personality is very chilled, my mind is in fact going 100mph. Does anyone have any tips for sleeping better? I’m going to try some different teas to see if that would help but at the moment, I’ve been feeling like a zombie. Anyways – back to topic: I wanted to tap into more advice-giving posts this year so to start 2020 off, I’m going to be rounding off my best tips to getting your New Years resolutions in-check this year! If you don’t believe in them, that’s totally fine – just replace them with any goals throughout the year that you may have! Create a Rough Timeline Note that I mentioned ‘rough’. It’s important to have clear goals but nothing is set in stone unless you have a deadline …

My Current Playlist #3

For those unfamiliar to this series, I simply post 30 songs that I have been recently listening to in the past few weeks. My playlist can be very mixed as I tap into a lot of different genres as to avoid repeating what’s already being played on mainstream radio. Oh, and there are a few Christmas songs which are no longer relevant but were when I was compiling this list, haha! Enjoy. 🙂 Here are my top 30 picks as of recent: Billie Eilish – bellyache Billie Eilish – watch Billie Eilish – all the good girls go to hell TSHA – Me You Tones and I – Dance Monkey Mabel – Loneliest Time of Year Lewis Capaldi – Before You Go Stormzy – Vossi Bop Stormzy – Superheroes Stormzy – Do Better Stormzy – Lessons Stormzy ft. If We Were Having Coffee #5

Happy new year, loves! I actually haven’t written one of these in a good 5/6 months so what better way to start the year off than with some coffee time on the blog? It’s undoubtedly still winter so grab your hot beverage and catch up with me below on where I’ve been and what I have set for 2020: If we were having coffee, I would tell you… Like every year, I make a group of New Years resolutions. Obviously, a good half of them are the same like any other year – read more, do more exercise, eat better, sleep better. This year, I decided that I would learn to cook and make some yummy new dishes. Towards the end of 2019, I got really bored of what I was bringing into work everyday food-wise – I just felt uninspired. I love food but to not put that same passion into cooking is quite frankly disappointing. I mean, I know how to cook but it would just be nice to make something new and …
