Berlin Travel Diary – Berlin Wall and Gendarmenmarkt | Day 3

Obviously I didn’t just come back from Berlin. I’m just a horrible human being who posts things super late at times – but because I love sharing, I would like to showcase the remaining photos of my Berlin trip from September 2017. Plus, it’s nice to finish chapters in your life right? This will be the last segment to my Berlin Travel Diary series. I know that I said I went to Berlin for 5 days but I decided to only write about the 3 days in the middle since I am not quite counting the day of arrival or day of departure. (Either days were relatively chilled out although I think I have roughly covered the first day of arrival in my first segment.) In addition, thank you so far for the positive response from my last Berlin post! The comments written were very generous so I guess posting the photographs despite it being months late, was a good idea after all, right? You can catch up with the previous segments in the series …

Life Update: Settling In

Note: I drafted this post weeks and weeks ago but have only just edited the photos so by the time I post this, it’s not a recent experience that I’m referring to however I still wanted to get this up! Enjoy. It’s a Saturday and I’m officially doing nothing. It’s approaching the afternoon period and I’m still in my lounge wear and hoodie but that’s okay – I live for these moments and sometimes, it’s just nice to be super comfy. The summer has finally calmed down and I don’t mind so much because summer just aggravates my skin and my eczema can start to play up too. This cooler weather suits me just fine. I may or may not do my makeup later but for now, I’m enjoying having my skin bare as on most weeks, I wear makeup to work. I’ve been loving it actually. I thought I would hate morning routine but it’s now become one of my favourite things. What shall I wear today? It’s fun to play a bit of …

Berlin Travel Diary – Potsdam | Day 2

It feels weird to be writing about Germany when I have just come back from Hong Kong. The timeline is therefore not right but oh well, you live you learn, and now I am paying a price for writing an experience that’s no longer as fresh in my mind but still a wonderful memory, so here goes! If you missed my first segment, then you can catch up on it here. In my previous post, I mentioned that we had bought multiple day travel passes for the tube and trains known as the U-Bahn and S-Bahn. These travel passes, which can be bought directly at the airport, are called Berlin WelcomeCard and comes with a free booklet to help you navigate around Berlin. From there, that’s how we knew to come to Potsdam. Potsdam is not central Berlin at all – no, you really have to travel away from Berlin to see some amazing scenic views. In fact, Potsdam is considered another city. I don’t think it took a full hour in total to reach but …

Berlin Travel Diary | Day 1

To be honest, this post is so incredibly long over-due but I still want to write about it. It is now officially February. I have less than a week (!!) till I’m in another country for a few weeks, so now really is the time to get this post up and running!  FYI – I went to Berlin in mid-September. Although it’s definitely not in the moment anymore for the things that I’m about to write, I really would recommend Berlin. It was overall an unforgettable experience. 🙂 We spent five days in Berlin. The first day when we arrived seemed quite long since there were delays on the train track towards the city centre from the airport. We were waiting for a good half-hour to forty minutes. Afterwards, it was probably a good forty minute journey overall to reach the hotel which I think is quite standard. TIP: If you decide to buy 2/3/4 day passes at the airport for the train and underground, make sure you stamp the tickets at the machine by …

Bullet Journal Planning & Flatlays

Alas! The post that I was meant to have up last week, if only it didn’t rain! (Typical British weather, really.) It’s getting to the end of August now and needless to say, this is a late post in-the-making so expect a long one. 😉 (If you’re a follower of some time, you’re probably used to my long posts by now; if you’re new – I’m sorry! But you’ll have to get used to this, haha!) Enjoy! One of the things that I love using my bullet journal for is to list down products and ideas for the blog. These may be products for favourites, to buy and try out in the future and for review. I’ve kept these pages really simple and information-friendly – it’s strictly a list with a note beside it if I think it’s necessary. I’ve since listed my favourites when on-the-go, on my phone, using the app Google Keep. I even list my to-be-empties and tick them off once I’ve 100% finished. It sounds silly but sometimes I actually forget …
