4 Beauty Waters on Trial

It has been trial month for me and I like to think that I’ve been patient enough in testing the products to have an acquired opinion about them! This time we’re talking beauty waters although I’m being quite loose with the term here. I really mean beauty waters in terms of its liquid form but by strict definition, I don’t think the eye makeup remover would pass as a beauty water! Otherwise, everything else is quite multi-functional; helping me prep my skin prior to more skincare goodness and/or makeup. These are perhaps the most beauty waters I’ve owned and used in the same beauty cycle so you can say I’m stepping into new territory! Featured in this post: Bioderma SĂ©bium H2O Nivea Double Effect Eye Makeup Remover La Roche-Posay Serozinc Avène Thermal Spring Water The Micellar Water I wouldn’t say I swear by micellar waters because you shouldn’t get lazy about washing your face twice (i.e. double-cleanse) but I don’t think I can extract them from my life either. It’s what I use as my ‘morning-cleanse’ …

The Sunday Catch-Up #3 | Where Am I Going Next?

I realise that it has been three months since we last checked in with each other, so I figured it was time to do another update. It’s been a really rainy weekend which sucks if you had plans for going out, but great for the likes of me who likes staying in sometimes to write! (In fact, it’s the perfect weather to write in, ha.) I like writing these types of posts because it helps me juggle my mind a bit more and lets me know where I am with myself. So as much as it’s a post for you as a reader, it’s also a post for myself, therapeutically. It’s funny but sometimes I don’t even know what’s on my mind! Thinking About Future Plans For This Blog I have been thinking about getting self-hosted for a while (something that I’m still so confused about actually); but the one thing that has been stopping me is my blogging consistency. Although I don’t think I’m where I need to be yet,  I do feel positive …

No-Buy Phase: What I Won’t Be Buying For A While

As you may have noticed from my recent posts, I’ve been shopping. Some of which, I’ve shared with you already, some are still in-testing and some are…not yet touched. đź‘€ I have seen these type of posts around but it was never my full intention to create a post of this sort. I guess I didn’t quite anticipate how many products I’m still not using despite having emptied so many. [See: Empties posts] So when I did discover those products in the simple action of opening my drawer or looking in my ‘beauty basket’, I decided I needed to sort out what I wouldn’t be buying for a while! A long while. These are also products I need to actively start using more of despite me consciously knowing of its existence or throw out, because they’re so old. So, enjoy! To make things easier, I thought best to organise in categories! June Monthly Favourites ft. Bioderma, Avène & LUSH

How is everyone? I know I’m rather late on this Favourites post given that we’re into the second or so week of July, but it’s definitely not a post I want to miss! Last month, I didn’t have any beauty favourites because I was in the midst of testing so many products that I needed to give more time for an opinion overall. Plus, I didn’t want to force any product as favourite. Honesty is the best policy after all. Otherwise, it was a laid-back month which I think, showed. It was my birthday in June – any other June babies too? We had a heatwave for a couple of days, going up to around 30 degrees so you’ll see some products here that helped me deal with that. Sometimes, I’m not sure how to deal with my skin in warmer climates, but my game seems more solid this season like I’ve finally figured it out.   ‘How?’, you ask. Let’s find out: Bioderma Sebium H2O Micellar Water Avène Thermal Spring Water L’OrĂ©al Paris Pure Clay …

Starting my Bullet Journal +some tips

I did it! For the month of May, I started a bullet journal after purchasing the LEUCHTTURM 1917 Notebook Medium (A5), Softcover, Dotted from Amazon. I have been inspired to start for a while now, after seeing so many pretty but productive examples on social media; that as an avid stationary collector, I knew I had sought out a way to use my tools. Having used an ordinary diary for a few years, I decided to trade up into something that was much more flexible…which really is the whole point of bullet journals. In short, a bullet journal is a chronological system in which you pen in events, appointments and dates like a diary but with the addition of inventing pages exactly the way you want them like a notebook. These pages can range from to-do lists, to-buy lists, notes, habit trackers, fitness planning and so forth. Basically, anything that helps make sense of your lifestyle, productively or casually. There are no specific rules as the system is designed to always be evolving which is the nice and motivating touch of bullet journals, …
