Review: My Beauty Diary Bird’s Nest Mask

If you remember from my YesStyle Beauty Haul + Experience post, I had hauled two different boxes of sheet masks. One was the NARUKO Rose & Botanic HA Aqua Cubic Hydrating Mask which I have previously reviewed. Today, I am reviewing the My Beauty Diary Bird’s Nest Mask. 🙂 For reference, I have combination/oily skin that can have a tendency to be dehydrated. Let’s begin shall we? What is it? It is a box of 10 sheet masks, designed to hold as much fluid as possible in order to moisten and soften the skin from layers below the epidermis. From the grid, it claims to nourish and brighten, firm and moisturise so it’s definitely a sheet mask that packs a punch (or so it seems). How much does it cost? I purchased mine for £15.51 which is a reasonable price I think. I tried to find a RRP but it was difficult to do so. However, in my experience, the ordinary MBD masks are around  £10/11 per box, and the fancier ones (like this one) …

Embarking on a Fitter Journey + Why

I initially wanted to call this ‘Embarking on a Fitness Journey’ but I felt that it wasn’t quite technically correct so instead, I’ve slightly altered it to being a fitter journey. There are a couple of reasons for this which will tie in with today’s overall topic: lifestyle and fitness, and why I’ve decided to make the changes I want to make or why I’m even deciding to write about it now. As a side note too, it’s possible that in the next few months, I will not be posting as many beauty-related posts, but instead, swapping them for posts like this since I want to start making fitness my priority. This blog is after all, an embodiment of my current lifestyles, happenings and likes. 🙂 So…what inspired me to embark on a fitter journey? Keep reading! I had an epiphany. That’s really it. I had an epiphany a few weeks ago, during and after my trip to Hong Kong at which point I thought, I really needed to take my fitness seriously. Both diet …

Hong Kong Super Beauty Haul

Hello friends! I’m sure some of you have been waiting for this post for quite some time since Hong Kong’s shopping scenery is vast – from the affordable to the luxury, you are really spoilt for choice. I always want to buy the whole shop but one only has so much they can take back with them and not to mention, practicality was quite strongly taken into account. To be honest, and I know this may sound ridiculous – but I was worried that I wouldn’t have a lot to show you since I didn’t officially shop until the last few days of my vacation. This shouldn’t be a problem surely, because I should buy items that I’m interested in trying for the benefit of me (i.e. shopping) and not so much for the blog. It is not a quantity contest after all so next time, I will remember to relax more. 😛 In the end, it turned out that I actually hauled more than I thought, when I finally laid all the products on …

10 Rules: Long-Haul Flights and Traveling

For those of you who don’t know or are new to my blog, I recently went on a 3-week-long vacation to Hong Kong to visit a lot of family, and to in turn, celebrate Chinese New Year. It is not my first time going – I have been countless of times but I am still not perfect in what I pack as much as I have gotten used to long-haul flying and the 3-hour coach journey to and from Heathrow Airport. But this time round, I was happy in a couple of new steps that I took because trust me – I have made so many mistakes before. So here’s me, letting you in on the 10 rules that can help define a comfortable (but not unfashionable) long-haul journey, not just on the plane but when you’re at your far-away destination too. Leggings will be your best friend I know. Such an easy one. But I’m that idiot who prior to this trip, had never worn leggings or athleisure-wear on a plane. From London Heathrow …

Pack With Me | Beauty & Skincare Pt.2 ft. What’s In My Makeup Bag?

This segment will cover the preparation and makeup aspects of my travel beauty to Hong Kong. I want to be thorough and informative on why I have chosen these particular products to take with me. If you haven’t yet, you can catch up with the first segment here which explains the skincare aspect and how I intend to look after my skin whilst I’m away. Otherwise, let’s get on with what I’m bringing makeup-wise!
