All The Things Blogging & Writing Taught Me

When my blog was re-vamped and re-born circa September 2016 to how it still looks now, I knew that it would be an ongoing development project like no other but I didn’t quite know how it would pan out and what I would gain from it. I just knew that I wanted to share something to someone. Over a year later, I’m happy to speak about this process and how it has really shaped my entire year…and I couldn’t thank you enough as the reader of this now, whether as a stranger or as a friend. (But ultimately, I hope you stay as a friend.) 🙂 One of the first posts that was really popular during this new age was  All The Things Makeup Taught Me (+Story Time) and though unrelated, this is another post following in that same format. Welcome to another instalment to my unintentional ‘All The Things…’ series to round the year off! Blogging taught me that I do actually have an opinion One of the solid memories that I have from high …

November Monthly Favourites/Current Winter Staple Kit

How it is even the last month of the year now is beyond me. But I do love this coat season and the opportunity to pull the scarves and layers out. Are you hyped for Christmas? I am so-so but gift-wrapping a couple of presents over the weekend has got me in the spirit a bit! 🙂 This month’s favourites is a bit of a 2-in-1 post as it features products that have been saving my face, body and hair this winter! Are you ready for it? It is my current winter staple kit. Featured in this post: Nivea Creme Soft Shower Cream Dove Purely Pampering Body Lotion L’Oreal Elvive Extraordinary Oils Shampoo Simple Soothing Toner Origins Drink Up Intensive Overnight Mask Benefit Porefessional PRO Balm Primer New shower favourite and now I have back-ups:  I tried a LUSH shower gel some time ago (that will be in my Empties post soon) and honestly, I was sad to have spent money on that because I felt nothing special. (In case you didn’t know, LUSH is …

Review: LUSH Dream Cream

So far, all of my reviews have been positive except for one. I will spoil for you now and let you know that this is no exception! I promise that in the new year, I will be a bit more fearless and try out more products that I am unsure of whether I will like or not, rather than going for the safe options. 😝😂 (Of course, this does not affect how I conduct my reviews at all. I like what I like and I dislike what I dislike…everything that I think is relevant, I will write down. The best part of blogging is sharing the experience!) But for now, this is my review of the LUSH Dream Cream. Enjoy! Warning: This is a long post so please grab a hot beverage!  What is it? It’s a vegan hand and body lotion that’s specifically designed for ultra sensitive skin. It claims to be soothing and cooling. How much does it cost? There are actually 3 different sizes however, I was only made aware of 2. I …

Why I Stopped Using Dry Shampoo Img.

Why I Stopped Using Dry Shampoo

I’ve been dry-shampoo-free for a good couple of weeks now. I would consider myself to have gotten on the bandwagon quite late (probably two years ago or less?) but as it happens, I’m completely off it now. The truth is, if you’re not careful, you can become very dependent on dry shampoo. It’s so easy. Too easy. I’m not here to tell you not to use the product at all by the way but as with everything else in life – moderation is key. And if high-school-me had discovered this product back then – gosh, I would’ve considered it my saviour and blessing. I was that girl who’s hair would get greasy from the roots on the second day. Maybe even after a day and a half. It definitely didn’t help either that I had jet black locks and at one point – bangs. It was one of the things that I was embarrassed by; and as luck would have it, I’d go into school half the week looking less than great but you can also …
