Rome Diary Day 1 – But First, Food! + Fontana di Trevi

As some of you may know, it’s been just over a week since I’ve been back from my trip to Rome! It was my second time going to Italy overall (first time was in Florence). Whilst I don’t profess that I’d necessarily go to Rome again (because there’s so many places to visit for the first time), it is still a destination I’d recommend especially if you’re into the Arts, Culture, History and Food. Visiting Rome was actually on my bucket list but now I can tick it off! ✅ Already, I’m thinking about where I can possibly go next; but most of all, I feel fresh and ready to work hard again! It’s strange, but until you go traveling again and are miles away from your home, you realise how much you needed that break and energy resurge to get you back on track. So in my books, I’d also recommend traveling once or twice a year to freshen up, but to also open your mind because I know I did during this trip. Flight …

My Travel Beauty Essentials Kit | Short-Haul Flight

I spent four days in Rome last week so this presents me the perfect opportunity to show you my absolute travel beauty essentials! I was meant to post this before I went away but I kept changing my mind on certain products so that wouldn’t have been a realistic representation! I finally came to a decision (undoubtedly) and I was more than satisfied with my choices, and how my beauty routine held up throughout the days even though I was away from home. Another The Ordinary Skincare Haul + Future Products to Test!

Today, I’m going to show you my not-so-recent The Ordinary Skincare haul. I’ve actually only just started using some of the products two weeks ago so I can’t really give a first impressions (at least not for everything) but I know the brand is of interest to many people (it’s currently my most viewed post-series). It’s definitely not your average skincare brand, and though the prices speak drugstore it certainly doesn’t feel that way. The products are ground-breaking, scientific and should be used in a certain way so I’ll speak a little about that too. If anything, this post is of benefit to me as much as it is for you if you decide to be a future user. I’m still in the midst of figuring out many of the brand’s products! Featured in this post: Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% (repurchase) Ascorbyl Glucoside Solution 12% Alpha Arbutin 2% + HA Buffet Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5 (repurchase) Magnesium Ascorbyl Phosphate 10% 100% Organic Cold-Pressed Rose Hip Seed Oil FYI, I purchased everything from Victoria Health but …

The Sunday Catch-Up +I’m back!

So I can’t remember the last time I talked about what I was up to because I haven’t blogged for about two weeks. What have you been up to? The weather is rather gloomy today that I’m slightly contemplating whether to switch the light on but it’s only 12.30pm. I guess I’ll just manage fine and make-do with what there is of the natural light… A Few Days Away From Everything I was meant to post last week but it didn’t happen although I have some drafts handy. (I need to sort those out actually. Crikey.)  I think I may have told a few blogger friends but not really verbally announced that I was on holiday this week to Rome for a few days. It sounds crazy but it was nice to have a few days where you really forgot who you were and what responsibilities you had back at home, but of course, one always has to come back and face reality. (I would always recommend traveling once or twice a year though.) Like …

Get To Know Me: A to Z Tag

Happy Sunday everyone! I thought for a change I’d do a Get To Know Me type post because I realise all this time that I’ve been blogging, I’ve never done one. And that’s actually a bit sad because I’d like you to get to know me a bit better. 🙂 Who knows, I might even surprise myself too! I saw the Get To Know Me: A to Z Tag on a blog that I have recently discovered: Linda Talks Beauty and knew straight away that I had to do this tag. Go check her blog out because it’s visually appealing and well-written. The A to Z Tag Age: People always get my age wrong, but I won’t complain. Looking young has its merits. Maybe 3 weeks ago, someone guessed my age as being 16 (?!!) After confessing no, he then said, ‘Good skin, eh?’. I also remember being IDed before for buying razor blades at the drugstore this year. Brothers: I have two older brothers and no sisters! In my extended family, most of my cousins are boys too. So …
