My Current Playlist #2

If you follow me on my Instagram, you’ll know that one of my favourite things that I love to upload on my IG Stories is screenshots of what I’m listening to on Spotify at that moment. I am on the constant search for new artists and tend to support smaller indie artists now since I’ve rinsed my mainstream playlists like a million times – bored is an understatement. Can we please just talk about Harry Style’s recent SNL live performances though?! The man is doing no wrong! So inclusive! (This is also coming from someone who’s traditionally not a 1D fan.) Here’s my newly assembled list of 30 songs that I’ve been enjoying as of late: Keshi – 2 soon Keshi – summer Keshi – right here Zedd, Kehlani – Good Thing Why Mona – Wannabe (Spice Girls cover!) Lauv – Bracelet OneRepublic – Rescue Me Noah Kahan – False Confidence Harry Styles – Lights Up Harry Styles – Watermelon Sugar Chance the Rapper (ft. John Legend) – All Day Long Chance the Rapper (ft. …

My Current Playlist #1

Thought I’d put together something a little different! I am a huge music fan; probably more so this year than ever before since I’m making more effort to discover new artists and not listen to all the auto-tuned records playing on the radio. Without naming any names, some artists have become huge sell-outs which has disappointed me greatly since their artistry was so good to begin with. I guess that’s what it means when they say it’s hard to stay original and relevant in the industry. Without further ado, here’s a compiled list of 30 songs that I’ve been listening to non-stop as of late: Gabrielle Aplin – Waking Up Slow (Piano Version) H.E.R – Focus H.E.R – Hard Place H.E.R – Going (Full) Post Malone – Circles Post Malone – Allergic Miley Cyrus – Slide Away Tori Kelly – Unbreakable Smile Tori Kelly – Coffee Alina Baraz – Electric (ft. Khalid) Jeremy Zucker – every day (stripped) Jeremy Zucker – comethru Pale Wales – There’s a Honey Bronski Beat – Smalltown Boy Charlie Puth …

Lately on Netflix #4

It’s been a rainy fall season so far with Netflix and coffee getting me through. I’m sure I have mentioned before but I go through phases when it comes to watching any movies or series. I have to be in the mood for one, and I have to have the time and need to be able to finish watching something. My mind is normally going all the time so it’s not everyday that I can focus on a certain storyline – especially if it’s a heavy one. Here’s a selection of some of the things I’ve watched in the past month, and my thoughts: Euphoria Okay – so we’re bending the rules and going in with a non-Netflix series first because it’s just too good to mention. (Besides, it’s not like every movie or series on Netflix is by Netflix.) If you feel like you have seen all the sexually-charged, drug-fuelled teenage series that there is to watch then think again. Euphoria does not merely spoon-feed you to only give you a glimpse of the …

If We Were Having Coffee #4

This time it’s Mocha. Thank you for the love in my last If We Were Having Coffee session! I might make these a monthly/bi-monthly series to keep it going more consistently throughout the year – what do you think? I love writing them as it keeps me in-tact with my thoughts so it’s definitely an idea. It still continues to be a busy month but I just saw off the end to a project last week and am starting a new one next week at work with small projects in-between. A part of me just thinks I’m not made for an easy life but sometimes the rewards are sweeter. If we were having coffee, I would tell you: I am going through a journey or two right now where I’m facing a lot of my fears and in the process of defeating them. I may have mentioned in a new year goals post that I wanted to make 2019 a year about me, for me. It’s over halfway through the year and I feel that …

Lately on Netflix #3

I used to watch a lot of drama series growing up. Now I am finding that I don’t have half as much time to watch the amount that I used to but I am cherishing it more. Both the time and content. Is this what getting older is about? 😅 (Today happens to be my birthday.) I try to watch dramas that have more substance to them – be it in storytelling or character development. Both? Even better. I suspect many internet users do this already but I have to research something before I begin watching (without the spoilers of course). There are a fair few where the trailer has peaked my interest, though I generally avoid longer trailers because they tend to spoil the whole story in 2 minutes. Here’s a list of my Netflix picks since my last update: Black Mirror (Season 5) I am actually very new to the whole Black Mirror world but I have heard many passing comments about its very nature so in some ways, I knew what I …
