Rome Diary Day 3 pt. 2 – Free ‘Roming’

This post is a continuation from: Rome Diary Day 3 pt. 1 – Angels Watching Over The City Please feel free to catch up with the previous days in this Travel/Photo Diary too: Rome Diary Day 1 – But First, Food! + Fontana di Trevi  Rome Diary Day 2 pt. 1 – What the Romans Mades + Detail Envy Rome Diary Day 2 pt. 2 – Where The Romans Once Were Otherwise, let’s continue Day 3 shall we? Back To The Other Side Of The Bridge Since we couldn’t go to explore Vatican City with more intricacy, we decided to head back to the other side of the bridge to explore the other areas as marked on our city map. I had remembered Piazza Navona being of mention on Trip Advisor so that’s where we decided to head to next. After crossing the bridge, we just kept walking straight on – the direction couldn’t have been more straightforward! 🔺 Piazza Navona Of course, these fountains and statues have nothing on Fontana di Trevi but it’s still worth …

Rome Diary Day 3 pt.1 – Angels Watching Over The City

We’re onto Day 3 of my Rome Diary! If you missed my previous posts, follow the links below: Rome Diary Day 1 – But First, Food! + Fontana di Trevi  Rome Diary Day 2 pt. 1 – What the Romans Mades + Detail Envy Rome Diary Day 2 pt. 2 – Where The Romans Once Were Otherwise, let’s get started! Making Our Way To The Bridge and Across At this point, we were still able to use our Hop-On, Hop-Off 48h bus pass that we had bought the previous day. It’s a good thing that we used this method because although am sure the Metro is convenient, you still need to change lines and be mindful of what stop you’re at. Being on the Hop-On, Hop-Off bus keeps your mind off such stress plus you can sight-see on-board in fresh air rather than be trapped in a tunnel! 😛 Here are a few photographs that I took along this bus journey which was about 45 minutes or so: 🔺Circus Maximus 🔺Piazza Venezia Angels Watching Over The …

Rome Diary Day 2 pt. 2 – Where The Romans Once Were

The travel diary continues! Firstly, I apologise for the long break in-between this post and my last post regarding my not-so-recent trip to Rome (which was over a month ago, gosh). This month has been particularly busy and even with the seemingly longer days, the hours never multiply but stay the same! However, I’ve managed to fit in a bit of spare time to continue this travel series and wrap it up! This isn’t the last post by all means, but one needs to finish what one starts. Let’s focus on ending Day 2 first shall we? If you missed my last 2 posts of this series: Rome Diary Day 1 – But First, Food! + Fontana di Trevi  Rome Diary Day 2 pt. 1 – What the Romans Mades + Detail Envy Roma Lunchin’ From where I left off in my last post, we were heading for lunch just so we could savour some energy and rest our feet a bit from all the walking so far! We came across a small cafe which was …

Rome Diary Day 2 pt. 1 – What The Romans Made + Detail Envy

Hello beautiful people! Today, I’m continuing my Rome Diary posts! We are onto Day 2, so if you missed Day 1, feel free to catch up here. I took a whole load of photos in Rome so don’t be surprised if this ends up being photo-heavy. In these posts, I try my best to reiterate the experience that I had in photo-form! Enjoy. 🙂 Morning Roma! I don’t know how you all travel but generally speaking, you make the most out of your day to go out early and explore! That means needing a lot of energy to start your day off so breakfast should absolutely not be missed (just like any other day haha). Having breakfast at the hotel just always makes things 10x easier because it’s technically free plus you don’t have to spend time searching for food when you could be going sight-seeing. So rule #1: eat well! Figuring Out Travel Route + Transport (Travel Tip) When traveling, I don’t really believe in sticking solidly to travel itineraries and timetables. I think …

The Vintage Coffee Shop Of Your Dreams: Barker Tea House

It feels like years since I last updated my ‘Travel’ section but actually, it has been a good couple of months. (Still quite a long time I know.) I thought I’d change it up a bit, and let you into my new favourite place! If you follow me on Instagram, then you may know of my new obsession so I’m here to talk of it more in detail. You will also be pleased to know that this post won’t be a one-hit-wonder as next month I will be traveling to Rome for a few days! So expect more travel-related posts in the next month and a bit. I hope to cover Preparation for Traveling type of posts before I actually go traveling (thinking ahead guys…) so stay tuned for that too. 🙂 Featured in this post:  Barker Tea House located in the High Street Arcade in Cardiff (There is also another Barker’s in another arcade across town. Popular you see.) I love coffee. I love tea too but that’s not so much of a thing …
