The Beauty Clean-Up #9 (empties)

This is starting to really feel like a series now, eh? I’ve made it a bit of a habit to look at my old empties which comes in so handy because I actually forget what I’ve used before or what I really liked/disliked. You see…it’s like my personal notebook on digital space. I’m the type of person who reads my own blog post even after I’ve long posted it…does anyone else do this? 😳 (I know it seems a bit narcissistic but I think it’s so important to like your work even if it’s not actually your job!) This time next week, I’ll have arrived in Hong Kong but since my box was getting so full and I wanted to clean before I go, I thought it was the perfect time to curate another one of these posts before I do the whole throw-out. 🙂 Enjoy! + Would repurchase – Will not bother again = Neutral/Indifferent =/= TONYMOLY I’m Real Sheet Masks in ‘Rice’ and ‘Broccoli’ +/= Nature Republic Real Nature Sheet Masks in ‘Royal Jelly’ and ‘Shea …

January Monthly Favourites ft. Real Techniques and Bobbi Brown!

I am thrilled to talk about this month’s favourites!  Last month was quite a boring month (even if it was Christmas month…) because I didn’t really try anything new or if I did, it was very late within the month. Mainly, I stuck to my previous favourites so nothing changed. Despite so, my last favourites post actually fared really well, so thank you everyone! 🙂 I haven’t been beauty shopping much* because I am trying to use up what I do have whilst also resetting my current collection – both in skincare and makeup. This month’s buys consist only of two brushes (featured here) but everything else are months old in terms of purchase, so you can imagine my delight when I finally got round to trying (and loving) them! *I’ve bought bits and bobs from Home Bargains the other day, but they were extremely cheap and cheerful. Half were essentials and replacement items!  Here they are, in all their glory, my favourites of the month… Featured in this post: Bobbi Brown Soothing Cleansing Oil …

6 Months After Using More The Ordinary Skincare

I haven’t talked about The Ordinary in a couple of months (with the exception of favourites and empties post) so I thought now would be the perfect time to update you all on my continued experience since my last post. So far, I’ve been mostly impressed and it gives me joy that word has gotten around about this amazing brand. I’m almost sure that it needs no introduction now because it’s really taken the industry by storm. ‘Work until you no longer have to introduce yourself’, they say. That sums up The Ordinary’s situation; just that it may have happened much sooner than anticipated! They have done the unthinkable. Featured in this post: Alpha Arbutin 2% + HA Buffet Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% Ascorbyl Glucoside Solution 12% Magnesium Ascorbyl Phosphate 10% 100% Organic Cold-Pressed Rose Hip Seed Oil Lactic Acid 10% + HA 2% Advanced Retinoid 2% Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5 Azelaic Acid Suspension 10% I will say though – the ONE product that I haven’t continued use with is the Vitamin C Suspension …

August Monthly Favourites ft. The Ordinary, Innisfree + Bobbi Brown!

It feels like ages since I sat down and talked with everyone but it has only been a solid week of me being away! Really sorry about that. Last Tuesday, I went to a Spa day with two of my very good friends which was something planned months in advance. That took up the full day but sometimes you just need to catch-up with people and life you know? That day, I promised myself to leave technology behind! Realistically, posting on Tuesday or even the following day wasn’t going to happen but I still had plans to post twice last week. Come Thursday evening, I noticed that my throat was starting to feel clogged up which is normally the first sign that I’m coming down with a cold – and that’s exactly what happened. The bad kind too. As if that wasn’t enough, on Friday evening, I noticed I had a peculiar mosquito bite on my leg which actually swell up the following day like a bruised golf ball. Genuinely praying to the Gods that …
