Products & Brands I Want to Try in 2020

I don’t think I have written this type of post before which is probably why there are still so many products and brands that I haven’t tried. (Baring in mind, a good half of them are also unavailable to me although Boots have recently expanded their range – more below.) The brand I tried out the most last year has to be Revolution – both their makeup and skincare. I am looking to write about their skincare line once I have gotten through the entire haul but for now, let’s tap into other new products and brands that I want to try out at some point this year! Fenty Beauty – the Gloss Bomb in particular I used to get a Christmas gift set for myself every year without fail. I didn’t bother with that in 2018 however in 2019, I saw that Fenty Beauty had the gloss trio which I so badly wanted to get. I did actually see it in-store one day in late-October/early-November and should have gotten the hint to get it …

Some changes.

Hi everyone. This is just a quick announcement post to let you know of the (positive) changes that I’m putting forward on this blog! I’ve been blogging (kinda) consistently for a good 3-4 years now and I feel that it’s finally time for it to move into a new chapter. I lost momentum with blogging/writing in the latter-half of last year and there’s really no excuse for this except to say that I didn’t keep up with it. I was even surprised to see I had as many views as I did in a couple of those months! But the truth is, I didn’t have a writing plan. A lot of posts I’ve written up until this New Year have been written days before upload. Sometimes even hours before upload. What does keep me going with this blog though is the fact that I do enjoy writing. I’ve set some new goals for this year and one of them does concern the blog. I honestly feel that it’s time for a re-birth and re-growth where …

Lately on Netflix #5

One of my favourite ventures has been writing about what shows I’ve been diving into on Netflix – some experimental, some anticipated and some that are pure guilty pleasures (i.e. you know it’s bad but it’s just so good). A couple of these were streamed a few months ago actually whilst some others are very recent. I’m onto a new series now called Mindhunter but feel free to recommend me any series/films that you think I should check out! Enjoy. Rhythm and Flow I like some hip hop but I don’t traditionally listen to the music enough to know about all the artists involved so it was interesting to watch this and meet some of the producers behind-the-scenes! Besides that, I loved how hilarious Cardi B was throughout the series – her one-liners just crack me up. (I’m not necessarily a huge fan of her music but I love her personality – she’s one of a kind!) Rhythm and Flow is a rap competition that seeks to find new artists to sign across 3 different …

My Current Playlist #3

For those unfamiliar to this series, I simply post 30 songs that I have been recently listening to in the past few weeks. My playlist can be very mixed as I tap into a lot of different genres as to avoid repeating what’s already being played on mainstream radio. Oh, and there are a few Christmas songs which are no longer relevant but were when I was compiling this list, haha! Enjoy. 🙂 Here are my top 30 picks as of recent: Billie Eilish – bellyache Billie Eilish – watch Billie Eilish – all the good girls go to hell TSHA – Me You Tones and I – Dance Monkey Mabel – Loneliest Time of Year Lewis Capaldi – Before You Go Stormzy – Vossi Bop Stormzy – Superheroes Stormzy – Do Better Stormzy – Lessons Stormzy ft. MNEK – Blinded By Your Grace (part 2) Harry Styles – Adore You Harry Styles – Falling The Weeknd – Blinding Lights Sam Smith – Get Here (cover) blackbear – hot girl bummer blackbear – Weak When …

If We Were Having Coffee #5

Happy new year, loves! I actually haven’t written one of these in a good 5/6 months so what better way to start the year off than with some coffee time on the blog? It’s undoubtedly still winter so grab your hot beverage and catch up with me below on where I’ve been and what I have set for 2020: If we were having coffee, I would tell you… Like every year, I make a group of New Years resolutions. Obviously, a good half of them are the same like any other year – read more, do more exercise, eat better, sleep better. This year, I decided that I would learn to cook and make some yummy new dishes. Towards the end of 2019, I got really bored of what I was bringing into work everyday food-wise – I just felt uninspired. I love food but to not put that same passion into cooking is quite frankly disappointing. I mean, I know how to cook but it would just be nice to make something new and …
