A Two-Years-After Review on Real Techniques Brushes (Total of 12!)

I’ve officially surpassed the ‘newbie’ stage in makeup so you can say I feel a bit more entitled to talk about the ins and outs of a brush brand that is so widely known; that I have used from the beginning of my makeup journey just over two years ago. If like me, you started with Real Techniques brushes, then you’re in for a trip down memory lane! For the most part, they’re still going strong but which brushes do I really like and would recommend? And which are not so well-loved, falling a bit short? Note: I don’t own a huge array of brushes (across different brands) so I won’t be able to compare these to others. Follow-up Review on The Ordinary Skincare

You may have caught up with my quite recent haul: The Ordinary Skincare which I talked about briefly here as a first impressions. Now that it’s been over a month since incorporating some of the products (4 out of 6)* into my routine, I feel that I have acquired a better opinion about them overall. Without a doubt, they have improved my skin but how? Let’s find out! The products featured in this post are:  Advanced Retinoid 2% Lactic Acid 10% + HA 2% Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5 Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% *I have not incorporated the Vitamin C moisturiser at all into my routine for reasons explained in my first impressions post. As for the Azelaic Acid Moisturiser – it has finally been dispatched after being out-of-stock since end of November. Chemical Exfoliation I use Advanced Retinoid 2% and Lactic Acid 10% + HA 2% together, one after the other. This step is performed after I have cleansed and toned my skin, 2-3x a week. The Ordinary Skincare Haul +First Impressions

There has been a hot topic going around on the internet: The Ordinary Skincare. Perhaps you have heard of them already through their parent company Deciem, which is home to skincare brands NIOD and Hylamide. Or if like me, follow (and adore) Wayne Goss on YouTube and have been sold by his recommendations of the brand’s products. In short, The Ordinary offers insane prices for cutting edges products – notably serums, which would otherwise cost you the earth elsewhere. (Okay, not really but you get the gist.)  We’re talking ÂŁ5/6 per product (with few exceptions) which is practically drugstore pricing, but when concerning serums/treatments, this really gives other brands – drugstore or not, a run for their money. Because it really works. Note: For reference I have combination/oily skin type. Here is what I got and my first impressions thus far: Hyaluronic Acid 2%+B5: Hydration in a bottle. If your skin ever needs a drink, it’s this one. This is slightly sticky, but comfortable to use. It absorbs quite quickly so the stickiness disappears just as quickly too. Overnight magic. …
